Prime Coatings HYDRAPAINT 9000 is for coating fire hydrants, fire-water lines, bollards, curbs and guardrails where safety related high visibility colors are required. HYDRAPAINT 9000 is designed to be applied by brush and roller and in 70 degree Fahrenheit temperatures HYDRAPAINT is dry to touch in fifteen minutes. The fast dry properties of HYDRAPAINT 9000 eliminates the need for wet paint signs and temporary barricades. HYDRAPAINT 9000 is used by water districts, municipalities, utilities, hotels, warehouse operators and parking garage operators to provide high visibility durable coatings to safety related infra-structure.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

HYDRAPAINT 9000 is a low VOC, quick dry, water based acrylic enamel. Application is self-priming and/or over existing coatings/paints. The product has been formulated with HAPS-free co-solvents to meet Federal Clean Air Act regulations. HYDRAPAINT is designed to provide excellent adhesion and corrosion protection. HYDRAPAINT 9000 demonstrates fast dry times with superior humidity and water resistance makes HYDRAPAINT 9000 ideal where high production rates are required. Paint and walk away. HYDRAPAINT 9000 meets SCAQMD Rule 1113 for industrial maintenance coatings and is LEED NC 2.2 compliant.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Metal surfaces need minimal surface preparation. Clean metal surfaces to remove any oil, grease and contaminants. Wire brush to remove any loose rust or scale. Existing coatings and paints need minimal surface preparation. Wash down to remove any dirt, oil and grease and let dry. Where there is loose coating or paint, wire brush to a sound surface. Application can begin once the surface is clean and dry.

APPLICATION

Application can be by brush, roller or airless spray.
Mix HYDRAPAINT 9000 with stir stick prior to using as product will settle out over time.
Application thickness is recommended at 4-5 Mils wet.
Dry time and return to service is 10-15 minutes at 70 degrees F. Paint and walk away.
HYDRAPAINT 9000 can be over coated when dry. Water can be used as a thinner and for clean up.
